Samuel Chien, Jr '76

Samuel graduated from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1980 and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1981. He returned to Hong Kong after graduation.

Samuel worked in the field of Civil and Construction Engineering for the earlier part of his career. He then moved on to the commercial field and joined a local television broadcast company responsible for international businesses and later worked as Sales and Marketing Director in a renowned German Home Appliances company before finally deciding to move onto the legal profession. He graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree at University of London, UK and became a Barrister for six years; he is now a Solicitor.

In recent years, Samuel served the Hong Kong Fencing Association and as Honourary legal advisor to the Hong Kong Aerospace Leaders Association, a charitable organisation to cultivate young people’s knowledge in aerospace.
