Thinking about life after RNS can be daunting for students, but fortunately, there is a team of dedicated professionals happy to help at every step of the journey. The Academic Services Team will help students explore their passions to connect with the right post-secondary program.
Students in Grades 11 and 12 meet with Mrs. Jollymore to set goals, discuss course selection, research post-secondary options, and complete applications. Students are encouraged to attend information sessions hosted on campus by various institutions and to submit applications prior to December of their Grade 12 year. During the university admissions process and following acceptance, Mrs. McLellan will help students ensure schools are up to date with the most recent records of their academic achievements.
Students in Grades 9 and 10 will be encouraged to start thinking about life after RNS by exploring career options through the Discovery Program and by meeting with the Academic Services team prior to IB Course Selection.

Students who are considering applying to colleges in the United States should study for and write the SAT in Grades 11 and 12. RNS is a test centre for the SAT in the fall and spring of each year.
Students, who plan to study at a post-secondary program where English is the language of instruction and for whom English is not the first language, should write the TOEFL / IELTS language proficiency test as part of the university admission process. Students who have been studying in a high school for more than three or four years, where English is the language of instruction, may be exempt from writing these assessments.
