Learning Commons

Our academic program recognizes that each student learns and processes information uniquely, and we make every effort to address different learning styles and needs within the classroom setting. Our Learning Strategist will coordinate with classroom teachers to implement small-group learning opportunities for the students in our Learning Commons. Our Learning Strategist collaborates with teachers to develop a program that enhances learning and helps students form lifelong academic habits.

Our team creates an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for students with specific learning needs. This plan includes strategies and classroom accommodations to support the student's learning in all subjects, and where applicable, a plan for the student’s academic future is also included.

The plan’s success supports the collaboration between faculty, students, and parents. Students meet with the Learning Strategist early in the academic year to establish their personal goals. At least one review meeting is held annually to discuss the plan and available accommodations. In Grades 11 and 12, students receive ongoing support throughout the IB Diploma Programme, including assessments and coursework.
