Susan Ness '64
Greenwich, CTAlumna 1964
After graduating from Netherwood, Susan attended UNB where she earned a degree in physical education in 1968. She then went on to teach physical education at the University of Toronto, McGill, Vanier College, and Lawrence Country Day School. She later studied Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and studied sport in Russia, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia with students from the University of Calgary.
Susan holds close to her heart, the Netherwood motto of “Simplicity, Sincerity, and Service” and has continued this mantra throughout her life. Over the years, she has served on several boards and volunteered for countless community organizations and outreach projects. For her selfless dedication, she received the Elizabeth Bush award for outstanding community leadership.
She currently serves on the Life Executive of her UNB grad class, is a director for the RNS Board, and volunteers as a alumni class champion for the Netherwood Class of ’64.
Susan lives in Greenwich, CT with her two daughters and three grandchildren living close by.
